about

This song is about a guy I met who got talked into train hopping by this pretty girl he met at an art fair. Lame, right?

lyrics

Let me tell you this tale of my betrayal
It starts in a town in the middle of somewhere
Walking down the street when some beauty caught my glare
It was a girly, a maiden oh so fair

She walked up to me and she looked a bit impaired
She opened up her mouth and said with a dazed stare
"Hey there doll, why don't you come ride these rails?
You know that these trains will take you anywhere."

Then a whiskey kiss she plants on my lips
A warm sensation runs right between my hips
Anywhere to run, we can find some place to hide
But you know I won't leave 'till she lets me inside

After that:
We hopped the rails and rode to different towns
I'd busk for money while she acts just like a clown
And then she starts to hate me 'cause she got on my damn nerves
Yes she would get so drunk that she puked out every word

Then she left me all alone
In some town I had not known
Speak Geek, out of luck
In this town no one will give a fuck

So after that:
I decide to hop another train
Because this town is way too fucking tame
I can't stand these fuckin' people, everyone here's the same
And every dirty alley is littered with her name

Then we meet again as two denizens of sin
She stumbles up to me and asks "how have ya been?"
I said that I've been fine, at least most of the time
She said "let's go play" and then time it did rewind

So after that:
We walked through the streets with a fresh bag of wine
We made new fun and laughed about old times
We got drunk all day and became better lays
Betrayal will fade but good friends will always stay

Then she left me on the floor
Naked and drunk to an open door
But I'll be fine, not like last time
I'll find a new way and find a new place to lay
